Janet Smith visits Ipswich's "Liquid Asset"
 

National author - Janet Smith will speak on her  research on  Britain's lidos and sign "Liquid Assets" - her latest book.

On Friday March 3rd 2006. respected national journalist, Janet Smith, author of "Liquid Assets - the lidos and open-air pools of Britain" will visit Ipswich to present her latest research on lidos.

Sally Wainman, Secretary for the Broomhill Pool Trust said, "Janet is acknowledged to be one of the country's experts on lidos: she will provide a general overview on the nation's lidos and focus, of course, on Broomhill Pool in particular."

The venue is Ashcroft Hall, Ashcroft Road (just off the Norwich Road). The time is 7.30pm and Admission is free.

The evening will include an historic opportunity to buy a copy of Liquid Assets with a personal message of your choice by Janet written into it. Liquid Assets is published by English Heritage/Malavan Media and is part of the Played in Britain series: http://www.playedinbritain.co.uk/books/Pibauthors.html 

The cost of Liquid Assets is £14-99 and please bring either cash or a cheque book on the night, as there are no debit/credit card facilities at Ashcroft Hall.
