Sir Michael Lord (MP for Broomhill & Deputy Speaker of the House) 19-2-08 "Thank you for your email concerning the future of Broomhill Pool, setting out the progress to date on its future and your cautious optimism about what can be achieved. I entirely endorse all the splendid work that has gone into this project and continues to be invested in it. You may perhaps know that at the outset I was very much involved, took a delegation to see Ipswich Borough Council about the matter and, with others, helped to persuade the borough Council of the value of the project. I do hope that it can be bought to a successful conclusion and that future generations can enjoy Broomhill Pool in the way that was anticipated by our very wise forebears who constructed it…Again my very best wishes for all that the Broomhill Pool Trust is doing".
